Seniors who are vegetarian may want to consider taking a B12 vitamin to ensure that they do not become deficient. High amounts of B12 are found in animal products like eggs, meat and milk. If you want to improve senior nutrition and are considering going vegetarian or vegan, start slowly by adding in more vegetables and fruit to your diet, eventually making them the base of your daily calories.
